Today we meet at our deluxe hotel in Boulder, the St Julien Hotel & Spa at 2pm.  We will begin with introductions, a quick orientation, and then visit the Haute Route race village to pickup numbers and race information. After check in, we will have a more complete briefing, followed by dinner together in preparation for your first stage on the bike tomorrow. After dinner, our mechanic and support team will help build up bikes, or if you are renting, get you set up and dialed in on our high performance machines so you have nothing to do in the morning except get ready to ride.

  • Cycling: No riding today. Bike builds and prep.
  • Meals: Breakfast and lunch on your own, dinner included.
  • Lodging:

Rise and shine – we will have a race ready breakfast and snacks  to prepare for the first stage. There will be an option to warm up your legs with a ride to the stage start or we will load up our support van and transport you to the race village and start. Our team will get all participants to the line and pre-stage meetings as necessary and will then leave you on the course to ride at your pace. Through the duration of the stage, our team will be on the course for private nutritional support. At the end of the stage, we provide a private cool down station for you to enjoy. There will be time to wander the race village and take advantage of the recovery services and foods on offer before retiring to our resort. At the end of the evening, we transfer back to the St Julien via van for a hardy dinner and rest.

Leaving Boulder today, the race will at some point early on begin to climb as you make your way to the ski town of Winter Park just the first of several ski towns to make this tour a challenge! As yesterday, our team will be there to get your day started and get you to the village and start line as needed.  We will be on course and at the finish for your private support group in addition to what Mavic and the event include. In Winter Park tonight, we will again have a hardy meal and you can enjoy a good night’s sleep at the Alpenglo Lodge.

Waking up at even higher altitude today, you just keep climbing! Start off with a good breakfast that we look after and then prepare to ride across Vail Pass to Avon, just a short ways down the mountain from world-famous Vail. This stage will be big, and today you will begin to feel the road in your legs, so we are there to support with nutrition, water, and encouragement along every step. At the stage finish we’ll be ready to whisk you into our recovery space and wind down before heading off to tonight’s very comfortable lodging at the Westin Riverfront Hotel & Spa. Private massages are available if booked in advance, and we can make those arrangements for you. Keep those legs fresh, you’ve barely started!

Today dawns just a little later than others, as there is no bag to pack. Today’s stage will start and finish in Avon, allowing you to gain extra precious moments of sleep. Enjoy a fresh breakfast and rest in preparation for the event’s only time trial. If Vail Pass wasn’t on yesterday’s route, expect that it will make an appearance today! We will support all of our riders at the race village stage start and be waiting at the finish as you come through 1 x 1. Upon finish, you’ll have time to head back to the hotel and spa to rest, visit with other riders, or get a much-deserved massage. There should be sufficient down time for your to relax by yourself before dinner.

Another big stage with a finish climb to remember! Snowmass village sits higher up on the mountain and after a long day in the saddle, you will need some reserve to make a hard push and hang on until the finish this afternoon in the village. Once you’ve conquered the stage, you’ll have much-deserved rest in the cool, clean mountain air with views over the very mountains you’ve just climbed! Our lodging tonight will be in Snowmass Village at the Stonebridge Inn, right in the heart of everything. We’ll relax over a delicious dinner and as this is Snowmass, we may be lucky enough to have some evening festivities and outdoor music before turning in.

  • Meals: All meals included
  • Lodging: Stonebridge Inn, Snowmass, CO

What will the race throw your way today?! Until we know the course we can only guess, but we do know for sure that some very big mountains stand in your way! First, on the descent from Snowmass you will have some time to settle in with some good miles through spectacular countryside.  Enjoy the view, it only gets better! The finish in the ‘cul de sac’ ski town of Crested Butte means a very high finish as the town sits at an altitude of 9,000 ft and tonight’s mountain resort is up the road at a slightly higher elevation. After finishing this stage  there will be a chance to rest, recover, and change into casual clothes for a short van transfer to our accommodations in Buena Vista, CO. We will have lots of recovery products available and keep you hydrated and fed with an excellent dinner tonight. In Buena Vista, we are well-positioned for the next day’s stage start  and will avoid the motor coach transfer that most rider will be making tomorrow. Rest well at the Surf Chateau in BV before tomorrow’s final stage!
